Puff Pastry Sheet
- Prick the puff pastry sheet all over with a pastry roller docker or a fork. Drape pastry over a baking tray, and trim off excess dough. Save scraps and freeze the pastry sheet until ready to use it.

- Spread the apple sauce evenly over the frozen puff pastry sheet; refrigerate.

Apple Pie Traybake
- Wash, peel and core apples.

- Thinly slice the apples.

- Arrange the apple slices artfully in 7 rows lengthwise on top of the apple sauce. If you plan to bake the apple pie later, squeeze half a lemon and brush the juice over the apple slices to prevent browning.

Baking
- Pro tip: When baking pies, the accumulated heat in the pizza stone ensures an evenly baked crust.

- Preheat your fan oven to 400ºF (200ºC) with the pizza stone inside for 25 minutes before putting the pie in. Combine the sugar with the vanilla sugar, and sprinkle it all over the fruits. Place the pie in the oven, then immediately reduce the temperature to 345ºF (175ºC). Bake for 75-80 minutes, rotating the tray halfway through. Let the apple pie traybake cool for 10 minutes and carefully slide it onto the cooling rack.

- Just about an hour later, cut this gorgeous apple slab into 16 portions. Enjoy!
